A few quiet things we ask of everyone who passes through the cedar gate.
The shop is built around quiet. Conversation is welcome — laughter, too — but please keep voices at the volume of the kettle. Phone calls happen on the porch.
One pot of tea buys you the whole afternoon if you'd like it. There's no minimum, no rush. The window seats are for reading.
The shop is a small one. Take all the photographs you'd like of teas, shelves, and steam — but please give other guests their privacy.
We adore small visitors. We ask that they stay close to their grown-ups, and that the brass scales stay on the counter where they belong.
Well-mannered dogs are welcome on the front porch. Inside, we ask that only service animals join you.
We bake on Fridays and brew every day. Please come hungry, and we'll take care of the rest.
Saturday tea sittings begin at 4pm sharp. Please arrive ten minutes early to settle. Once we pour the first cup, we close the door.
Our team loves talking about plants. If you want to know what's in your cup, where it came from, or what to drink before bed — please ask.
